Greetings! I hope the month of June have been productive, fun and prosperous for you so far.
I had a marvelous cook-out with friends last weekend, and it was filled with laughter and good memories. Remembering the fun I had, I decide to dedicate the month of June's Tips to Feng Shui for the Kitchen!
Lots of practitioners and enthuaists remain conflicted regarding this particular section of the home. Some experts praise the kitchen whereas some claim it a negative zone. We all have our opinions, but here at Dragon-Gate.com we are firm believers that the kitchen is the center of nourishment for both the body and the soul, therefore it is simply one of the most important locations of our homes.
The kitchen also happens to be the bearer of the 'Fire Mouth' of the premise. The Fire Mouth refers to the stove or oven, and is considered a most important enhancer of Wealth capability. Aside from this, the kitchen's element is Fire, therefore its Yang power is a good 'charger' for all occupants of the home. If you possess a kitchen with fantastic Feng Shui, even visitors can be positively affected.
Enjoy these easy, fun Tips for the kitchen to boost to your Health, Wealth and overall Prosperity during your culinary escapades.
Let’s begin, shall we?

Find Out Your Tian Yi Location/Direction
First of all, the most important issue one needs to settle is the location of the kitchen. In an ideal world every home’s kitchen should be located in the Tian Yi (or Heavenly Doctor) of the main breadwinner according to one’s Gua number.
Ascertain the main breadwinner’s Tian Yi with the Gua Calculator.
In reality shifting your entire kitchen to another location is not feasible for most people due to a number of reasons. If you are stuck for choice, direct the 'Fire Mouth', or the front of your stove, oven or microwave towards the Tian Yi instead. You are still able to tap into its good luck this way.

Use Warm Colors for Good Energy
Some Feng Shui masters and consultants are dead against Yang colors in the kitchen. They consider adding on to the Yang quality of the kitchen with more 'hot' energy will cause some imbalance. Not so! In fact, the more Yang energy in the kitchen, the better since the kitchen is governed by the Fire element. This will strengthen Health and Wealth Luck in the long run, as well.
Feel free to incorporate sunny, happy colors of yellows, oranges or reds into your kitchen.

Keep Nibbles on The Table
Always have some form of grub left on the dining table or kitchen countertop at all times. This denotes to the entire household always blessed with Prosperity, because displaying foods lets people know that your kitchen is a place to be nourished and nurtured.
A bowl of fruit or candy is perfect for this purpose. Or, if you’d like to double your luck, have a bowl of oranges or mandarins instead. The word 'orange' in the Canton dialect of China is phonetically similar to 'gold'.

Crystals for the Earth Element
The Earth element is good to tap into for kitchens, since it complements the Yang element and tempers the energy of the area. Crystals are of the Earth element, so make sure you have some choice pieces of crystals decorating your kitchen area. Make sure that you have some pieces of ceramic crockery in your kitchen.

No Bathrooms or Toilets Close By
Feng Shui dictates that the stove should not directly face a bathroom or toilet. This is because the close vicinity of a Water source to the kitchen denotes to bad luck for the entire household. If this is the case in your home, you may ease the negative effects by painting the bathroom or toilet door in a Yang color such as yellows, oranges and reds.

Keep Clean and Clutter-Free
Keep your kitchen clean and devoid of clutter when not in use. Maintain a good level of orderliness, because this allows the best kind of energy flow to suffuse this auspicious location of the home.
Keep the kitchen countertop relatively clear of any clutter except for a chosen few items.

Trinity Star Gods for Health, Wealth and Prosperity
Perhaps you’ve heard of the Chinese Kitchen God, popularized by the Chinese American author Amy Tan’s book titled The Kitchen God’s Wife. This denotes to Zao Jun, the deity who is also known as the Stove Master.
If you wish to bless the kitchen with a more tangible form of Godhead, how about choosing the Auspicious Trinity Gods Fuk Luk Sau? These three Gods signify good Health, good Wealth and Material Prosperity. Place your God trio on an elevated height in the kitchen.

Potted Plants to Slow Down Qi
Watch your kitchen location – does it open up directly to the bedroom or living room? If this is the case, place a potted plant between both these locations to cut the space in half, since positive energy, or Qi, is said to disappear all too quickly in a house with this type of architecture.

Squirrel Away Sharp Tools
Keep all sharp implements such as knives, ice picks and other tools tucked away in drawers when not in use.
_________________________________________________________________________
Keep Away Bad Smells
Keep your kitchen waste baskets clean and covered, and take out the garbage often. Stagnant Qi can also take the form of scent, therefore unpleasant, rotting smells of garbage can deplete your kitchen of vibrant healthy Sheng Qi.
