The Tibetan's long love affair with exuberant decoration results in everyday items being produced with wonderful embellishments. Nearly every item created and used by Tibetans was fashioned in a highly decorative way with the addition of semi-precious opaque crystals such as coral, turquoise and other precious stones. Some pieces share deep ritual or religious sentiment, whereas others are simply decorative in nature, and nothing more.
