METAL ELEMENT

The Metal element indicates a good harvest season, which denotes to business success in modern times. Metal represents the adult years of a person, as well as maturity and intellect associated with adulthood. It symbolizes the autumn season and for year 2006, the Metal element represents the location of South.

WOOD ELEMENT

The Wood element denotes to creativity, innovation and benevolence. Though wood is pliant and easy to bend (hence easy to conform), in some cases it can also be as unyielding as an oak tree. Wood is also commonly associated with the season of Spring, and for year 2006 the direction of Northwest.

WATER ELEMENT

The Water element denotes to travel, communication, and most of all knowledge and wisdom. It is also the element of literature, the Arts and media. The Water element is fickle indeed - it can be as gentle as soft patter of rainfall to hard torrents of hurricanes! Above all, the Water element nourishes all living things, and is a strong symbol of intelligence. Water represents the final years of life, which is old age.

FIRE ELEMENT

The Fire element is energy, enthusiasm and physical prowess - but it can also be taken as a symbol of hazard or danger. Fire can cheer one up and warm up life's prospects, but in huge quantities it can destroy and maim. Fire is commonly associated with the season of Summer and represents the growing years before puberty.

EARTH ELEMENT

The Earth element represents stability and sagacity. The Earth element is also patient, just and honest as well as methodical. Earth is symbolized by the color yellow, and denotes to the time of youth, or teenage years.
